This policy explains how Glacerie ("Glacerie", "we", "us") handles information in the Glacerie Franchise Android app (for approved franchise partners and delivery staff), the Glacerie partner web portals, and the website. Accounts are created by Glacerie for approved partners and staff; the app is not intended for children under 18.
1. Information we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Account details: name, mobile number, email, role, franchise name/code, city, GSTIN/PAN where you provide them | To create and secure your account, identify your franchise, and send invoices and notices. |
| Business records: orders, invoices, credit terms, ledger entries, payments you report (amount and bank reference/UTR), support tickets | To run franchise procurement, billing, credit and customer support. |
| Delivery proof: items received, quantities, reasons for shortages, time of confirmation, optional photos you take of damaged goods, and your device location at the moment you confirm a delivery (if you allow it) | To create the digital proof of delivery (e-POD) and resolve disputes. Location is only read when you confirm a delivery; we do not track you in the background. |
| Delivery staff: assigned deliveries, arrival status, issue reports | To coordinate deliveries. |
| Device & security data: app version, device model, an app-generated device ID, IP address, sign-in and security logs | To keep accounts secure, prevent misuse and fix problems. |
We do not show ads, we do not sell personal data, and the app does not use the Android advertising ID.
2. Camera, location and permissions
- Camera: to scan the delivery person's QR code and to photograph damaged or short goods. Photos are uploaded only when you choose to attach them.
- Location (while the app is open): to record where a delivery was confirmed. You can refuse; receiving a delivery still works.
- Internet: to talk to Glacerie's servers.
3. How we share information
Information is visible to authorised Glacerie staff and, within a delivery, to the franchise partner and delivery person concerned. We use service providers who process data on our behalf (for example cloud hosting, SMS delivery for sign-in codes, and email delivery). We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell or rent personal information.
4. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your sign-in session is stored on your phone in encrypted storage. Access inside Glacerie is limited by role and important changes are logged. No system is perfectly secure; please protect your password and sign out on shared devices.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account and business records for as long as your franchise or employment relationship continues and afterwards for as long as needed for accounting, tax, audit and legal purposes. Delivery photos and support messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve disputes and for audit. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent to optional data such as location and photos, by emailing glacerie23@gmail.com. Some business and tax records must be retained by law and cannot be deleted immediately. See Account & data deletion.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be notified in the app or by email.
